You’d be surprised—many of our guests with a fear of heights report feeling completely at ease in the balloon. Since there’s no sudden movement or rocking, it feels more like floating than flying.

Absolutely! We encourage you to capture the stunning scenery. Just be sure to hold onto your devices securely there’s no retrieving anything that falls from the sky!
How does the ground crew know where the balloon is?
Our balloons are tracked throughout the flight by a trained ground crew. Using radio communication and GPS, they follow our route and meet us wherever the balloon gently lands.
What should I wear for the flight?
Dress for comfort. Mornings can be chilly, so layers are ideal. We recommend closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, and a cap to protect from the heat of the burners above.
What kind of fuel is used in hot air balloons?
We use propane gas (LPG) stored in secure cylinders inside the basket. It’s clean-burning, efficient, and ideal for creating the controlled heat needed to lift the balloon safely.
What materials are hot air balloons made of?
The balloon (envelope) is made from heat-resistant nylon or polyester with reinforced sections in high-temperature areas. It’s lightweight, flexible, and designed to handle the demands of flight.
Why are balloon baskets made from wicker?
Wicker is incredibly strong, lightweight, and slightly flexible perfect for absorbing landing impact and providing passengers with a stable, safe space to stand during the flight.
What equipment helps pilots navigate?
Pilots use altimeters, variometers, and GPS to monitor altitude, vertical speed, and location. Since balloons drift with the wind, navigation is a blend of precision instruments and pilot experience.
Who oversees balloon flight safety?
Balloon operations in Oman must comply with national aviation authorities and international ballooning standards. Our pilots and equipment are regularly inspected and certified for safety and quality.
Do balloons wear out over time?
